When we spend time in nature, away from our usual comfort and routine, something in us naturally returns to its essence. The simplicity of the desert connects us — physically, mentally, and spiritually — to a simpler, deeper, and more grounded version of ourselves.
I have a deep connection to Sinai, having grown up visiting its mountains. Over the years, I gained experience traveling, exploring the world, and working alongside my father in the desert. Our family has a long-standing relationship with the local Bedouin community, who will accompany us and share their knowledge of the land.
I guide these journeys out of passion and a belief that it is my way to serve others while sharing the skills and experiences I have gained. My goal is to create a calm, deep, happy, and supportive environment where you can fully connect with the landscape, the silence, yourself and if you wish, with others along the way.
Sinai is one of the most beautiful deserts in the world, offering a unique blend of mountains, open desert, winding valleys, occasional water sources, dry air, clear blue skies, and a quiet stillness that belongs only to the desert.
Beginning in Saint Catherine village, we set out on an 8-day journey into the heart of the desert, accompanied by a Bedouin team and camels. From the first step, the desert draws us into a slower yet more vivid rhythm of being. Quiet walks through vast open spaces; wide horizons and silent valleys. We climb remote peaks, including the highest mountain in Egypt, and move through powerful desert landscapes shaped by time.
This journey combines together simplicity, adventure, and inner depth. Walking day after day through raw, untouched terrain awakens our senses. As the body engages with the land, the mind gradually releases its usual pace, and a deeper presence emerges. Immersion in a different culture, sleeping and waking each day in the desert's elemental conditions, becomes a lived experience that enriches one's inner world and sense of being.
Each night we sleep beneath vast, star-filled desert skies or in tents, in a different bustan — a traditional Bedouin mountain camp used by local families during the summer. Evenings bring stillness, firelight, and a profound sense of remoteness, we will have simple meals during the day and a warm shared meal at night.
Throughout the journey we are accompanied by a skilled and attentive Bedouin team, who walk with us and take care of all aspects of desert life—logistics, meals, and camp. Their deep knowledge of the mountains, valleys, and desert rhythms creates a safe and reliable container, allowing us to relax into both the adventure and the inner process it opens.
This journey brings together physical exploration and inner expansion, rooted in a deep connection with nature—leaving you with the essence of the desert long after the journey ends.
Arrival from Europe to Sharm El Sheikh, followed by a transfer to the village of Saint Catherine. We arrive at a warm Bedouin homestay, which has become like family to us through more than 30 years of working and cooperating together. After a welcome tea and meal, we spend the night with them.
In the morning we meet our camels and local Bedouin team and continue our journey into the mountains. We walk to Wadi Gibal and arrive at Farsh Rumana.
From Farsh Rumana we ascend Jebel Bab, exploring its different peaks along the way. The landscape here is marked by red rock formations and vast desert expanses, creating scenery that is both striking and unique, with a distinct atmosphere and presence. In the afternoon we descend to Farsh Rumana.
From Farsh Rumana we walk to the beautiful spring of Gulat el Azrak – the Blue Water, considered the most beautiful water source in the area. We take time to bathe and rest in this remote and tranquil place. From there we continue to Wadi Abu Tweita.
We continue from Wadi Abu Tweita and climb Jebel Abbas Pasha. The view from the summit is wide and impressive, and if conditions allow and there is no wind, we may experience a remarkable echo in this open space. We then descend to Farsh Abu Machasur, a hidden and secluded area surrounded by mountains, known for its unique atmosphere. From there we continue to Wadi Razane.
On this day we climb to the summit of Mount Catherine, the highest point in Sinai and a central energetic point. The scenery from the top is really something to remember. We spend the night on the mountain, allowing us to witness both sunset and sunrise from this extraordinary vantage point.
We descend back to Wadi Razane through Wadi Ajmar (the Red Creek), an area rich with rock formations that feel like a living natural museum.
In the morning we walk to Wadi Talha and arrive at the Dripping Spring. From there we leave the mountains and return to the village of Saint Catherine. The place that felt like the edge of the world when we began now feels like civilization. After spending some time in the village, we drive toward Sharm El Sheikh to take our international flight.
We reserve the right to change the itinerary according to the conditions we encounter during the journey.
